Electronic Knowledge Interchange Named Finalist for ITA CityLIGHTS Award
Technology solutions leader honored for national reputation, proven growth
and product and service excellence

Chicago, IL (April 8, 2010) — Electronic Knowledge Interchange (EKI), a leading technology consulting firm that delivers program management, collaboration, compliance and systems integration solutions, has been named a finalist for an Illinois Technology Association (ITA) CityLIGHTS award, in the Lighthouse Award category.

The Lighthouse Award is presented to the company that best represents the region’s growing stature as a top information technology hub. The award winner must provide recognized excellence in products and services, and:

• Have at least $10 million in annual revenue
• Exhibit a commitment to customer service and have established a unique place in its market
• Have a national reputation
• Have demonstrated growth and financial stability over the past year
• Have a significant employee base
• Be part of an industry ecosystem (i.e. industry board)
• Be actively involved in the community
• Demonstrate sector leadership

EKI was chosen as a finalist for this award based upon its stellar record of providing award-winning technology solutions to many of the world’s largest businesses and government institutions.

Fulfilling another award criterion, the company has demonstrated a 50 percent aggregate growth since 2007 in spite of a challenging economy, and maintains a growing employee base.

The 10 finalists for the award comprise the foremost companies within the Illinois technology community and were culled from over 150 nominations across six categories. “We are proud to be named a finalist for the ITA CityLIGHTS Lighthouse Award category that recognizes leadership and growth. This award represents what is possible when you utilize technology in the name of implementing innovation,” said CEO and Founder of EKI, Robert Blackwell Jr.

ITA will present several awards, including the Lighthouse Award, CEO of the Year, the Newcomer Award and others, which honor outstanding information technology companies, executives and advocates in Illinois, at ITA’s 11th Annual CityLIGHTS award Gala on April 29 at Union Station in Chicago.

Public voting will determine the winners by award, with the exception of the CityLIGHTS award winner, which is determined by the ITA Board of Directors. Voting takes place online between April 5-15, 2010 at http://www.itacitylights.org/vote.html.
